The role is practical and hands-on, working closely with site and operational managers to ensure high standards of health and safety, identify potential risks and continually improve safety across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out regular site visits, inspections and health & safety audits
- Identifying risks and working with site teams to implement effective corrective actions
- Supporting managers with risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
- Providing practical guidance on health & safety matters and helping to develop a strong safety culture
- Supporting and leading accident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis
- Ensuring appropriate corrective and preventative actions are implemented
- Supporting RIDDOR reporting where required
- Keeping the business up to date with relevant UK health & safety legislation
- Supporting the continued development and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure health & safety remains both compliant and practical
Our client is looking for a confident and proactive Health & Safety professional who is comfortable working independently and travelling between different operational sites.
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – essential
- At least 2 years' UK experience as a Health & Safety Advisor, Practitioner or similar
- A practical, hands-on approach to health & safety
- Experience working within operational environments rather than purely office-based or theoretical H&S roles
- Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and best practice
- Experience with risk assessments, audits, investigations and incident reporting
- Experience working within automotive, commercial vehicle, workshops, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, transport or similar environments would be highly advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work confidently with managers and operational teams at all levels
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK
