Working Hours: Alternating shifts – Week 1: 07:00–15:30 | Week 2: 12:30–21:00 | 1 in 3 Saturdays 08:00–12:00 (paid at overtime rate)
Salary: Up to £42,700 basic + £61,000 OTE (annual pay rises + profit share)
Our client, a well-established commercial vehicle rental specialist, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team.
Key Responsibilities for a HGV Technician:
• Carry out routine servicing and inspections to manufacturer standards
• Conduct vehicle testing in a safe and professional manner
• Diagnose faults and provide detailed reports
• Undertake repairs on a wide range of HGVs and associated equipment
• Ensure all work is completed to high safety and quality standards
What We’re Looking For in a HGV Technician:
• NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in HGV Mechanics (or time-served with 3+ years’ experience)
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Experience with cranes, hydraulics, tippers or beaver tails (advantageous)
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards
• Full UK driving licence
