HGV Technician Needed in Preston - Night & Day shifts available  
  • Working Hours: 
    • Days: Rolling 4 on 4 off shift 7am-7pm.
    • Nights: Fixed TUE - FRI
  • Holiday: 25 days pls bank holidays. Option to purchase more too! 
Looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our client's depot in Preston on a full-time, permanent basis, working either a day shift or night shift. You would work either our 4 on 4 off shift, 42 hours per week, or nights, 45.25 hours per week.

Our client, a leading name in the commercial vehicle sector, is seeking a highly skilled and qualified HGV Technician to join their dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a rewarding and supportive environment, with 6 bays and state-of-the-art facilities.   

Key Responsibilities for the HGV Technician:
  • Service, maintain, and repair heavy goods vehicles to a high standard
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Conduct MOT preparations, ensuring vehicles meet regulatory standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Keep records of all work completed and report any additional repairs needed
What We’re Looking For:
  • HGV Technician with strong experience and a Level 3 (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent) 
  • Time-served experience working with large commercial vehicles
  • Full UK driving licence (Class 1 Licence preferred)
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
