  • Location: Leicester
  • Salary: £46,295 basic | £50,000 OTE
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:00am – 1:00pm
About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join a high-performing aftersales team within a reputable main dealership in Leicester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician looking to advance their technical career, work with cutting-edge technology and benefit from ongoing manufacturer training and development.

The dealership has 16 ramps across the site and a team of 11 experienced Technicians, including long-standing members of the team with extensive manufacturer knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out complex diagnostic, warranty and repair work
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve difficult vehicle faults
  • Complete mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs safely and efficiently
  • Carry out EV work where qualified
  • Work in line with manufacturer standards and dealership processes
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of safety and quality
  • Assist Apprentice Technicians with their development where required
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
About You:
  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance
  • Recognised Diagnostic qualification
  • Previous experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Mechanic is preferred
  • Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • High standards of safety, quality and workmanship
  • A desire to continue developing your technical knowledge
  • Full UK driving licence
Manufacturer experience is not necessarily essential. The company recognises the qualifications and experience gained across different automotive brands and is committed to supporting Technicians with ongoing manufacturer training.
