- Conduct routine inspections, services, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles to ensure safety and efficiency
- Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in HGVs
- Perform repairs and overhauls on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and other vehicle components
- Carry out welding and fabrication work to repair damaged vehicle parts and bodies
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and extend vehicle lifespan
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, parts used, and scheduled maintenance
- Communicate effectively with customers to update them on repair progress and vehicle status
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workshop operations and high-quality service
- Stay updated on the latest industry technologies and best practices in HGV maintenance
- 5 to 10 years of experience in HGV or PSV maintenance and repair
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
- HGV driving licence is desirable but not essential
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- Tidy, professional approach with good attention to detail
