  • Salary: Competitive Pay + Incentives
  • Hours: 7 - 5pm Monday - Friday - no weekends 
We are working on behalf of a busy, well-established accident repair centre in Croydon, seeking an experienced Assistant Bodyshop Manager to join their team. This is a senior role designed for a professional with a strong background in motor vehicle estimating and quality control. The successful individual will play a vital part in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of the estimating process, supporting workshop operations, and maintaining high standards across the business.

Duties:
  • Audit and quality-check estimators' work, including repair costs, labour hours, and average repair values
  • Monitor and enhance estimating accuracy and overall commercial performance
  • Support workshop control and front-of-house operations with work triage and prioritisation
  • Provide numerical and data insights to optimise operational efficiency
  • Act as a key link between estimating, workshop, and customer-facing teams
  • Contribute to the daily running of the body shop and process improvements
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in motor vehicle estimating within the accident repair or body shop sector
  • Strong ability to audit and review estimates, coaching others to improve their work
  • Desirable experience in workshop control, front-of-house, auditing, or team management
  • Commercially aware with a keen eye for detail and process ownership
  • Ability to quickly adapt and support the existing management team
  • A professional and proactive approach with excellent communication skills
