We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Panel Technician to join a leading accident repair specialist in Preston. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to advance their career within a reputable company that values quality, safety, and employee development.

As a Panel Technician, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently completing panel repairs and replacements, ensuring customer satisfaction and adhering to industry standards. You will work as part of a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment that promotes growth and continuous improvement.

Duties:
  • Carry out panel repairs and replacements to manufacturer and industry standards
  • Perform quality welding tests and document results
  • Prepare and finish panels with body filler and production paper for a perfect finish
  • Identify and communicate additional parts required for repairs
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment, ensuring good housekeeping practices
  • Protect vehicles during repairs by masking and covering vulnerable areas
  • Store removed parts securely to prevent damage, with re-usable parts retained appropriately
  • Report damaged parts promptly to supervisors
  • Follow health and safety and COSHH regulations
  • Ensure repairs meet BS 10125 standards and regulatory requirements
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet deadlines and achieve customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • IMI or ATA qualification as a Panel Technician or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience in a bodyshop environment with a strong focus on quality repairs
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service
