Vehicle Technician Vacancy - Luton Main Dealer
  • Basic Salary: Circa £35,000 (Negotiable with experience)
  • OTE: £40,000
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00am - 1:00pm (paid as overtime)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join an established main dealer in the Luton area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician to join a long-standing, family-run automotive business with a history spanning more than 80 years.

The business has built an excellent reputation within the local area and operates a modern workshop with experienced technicians, up-to-date diagnostic equipment and a strong focus on technical training and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out servicing and routine maintenance
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Using the latest diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues
  • Carrying out repairs to brakes, suspension, steering and other mechanical components
  • Completing vehicle inspections and safety checks
  • Identifying additional work required and accurately reporting findings
  • Completing all work to manufacturer standards and specifications
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and productivity
  • Following all health and safety procedures
  • Working effectively as part of a professional workshop team
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualified Vehicle Technician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Previous experience within a professional workshop environment
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Good understanding of modern vehicle technology
  • High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic
  • Full UK driving licence
MOT Tester qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Benefits:
  • £35,000 basic salary, negotiable depending on experience
  • £40,000 OTE
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
