This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive customer service professional to join a well-established dealership, acting as the key link between customers and the workshop team.
You will manage customers throughout the entire service process, from initial booking through to vehicle handover, ensuring a professional and high level of customer service at every stage.
The Role:
- Welcome customers and manage service, maintenance, repair and MOT bookings.
- Listen carefully to customer requirements, identify vehicle concerns and prepare accurate job cards.
- Provide clear estimates, explain recommended work and obtain customer authorisation before work proceeds.
- Keep customers informed with regular progress updates, including any changes to cost or completion times.
- Liaise closely with technicians, workshop controllers, parts colleagues and warranty teams to ensure work progresses efficiently.
- Promote relevant service plans, maintenance products and additional services in a helpful and consultative manner.
- Complete professional vehicle handovers, explain work carried out and ensure invoices are accurate.
- Maintain high standards of administration, data accuracy and manufacturer compliance.
- Contribute towards customer satisfaction, retention and dealership performance.
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor or in a similar customer-facing automotive role.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to explain technical information clearly.
- A positive, calm and professional approach when working in a busy environment.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Commercial awareness combined with a genuine commitment to excellent customer service.
- Confidence using dealership management systems and standard office software.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Experience with Keyloop, Kerridge or 1Link would be desirable.
- Basic salary up to £38,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Friday working hours, typically between 8:00am–6:00pm
- Saturday working 8:00am–1:00pm on a rota basis
