Bodyshop Panel Beater Required in Crawley, West Sussex
  • Pay: £45,000 - £55,000 Basic + Bonus 
  • Hours: 42.5 Hours per week Monday - Friday only!
Optional overtime available  We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Beater to join a busy bodyshop in Crawley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional looking to develop their career in a reputable environment where quality workmanship and customer satisfaction are paramount. The successful Panel Beater will handle a variety of body repairs, from assessing damage to final finishing, ensuring each vehicle is restored to the highest standard.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary in the range of £45,000 to £55,000 per annum
  • Overtime available with additional earning potential
  • Bonus and productivity incentives on top of basic pay
  • Working hours of 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Duties:
  • Assess vehicle damage thoroughly to identify necessary repairs and provide cost estimates
  • Dismantle vehicles to facilitate repairs, including removing panels, bumpers, lights, and trims
  • Repair or replace damaged panels using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques
  • Straighten and align vehicle frames and chassis using hydraulic equipment and measuring systems
  • Perform welding and metalwork to restore vehicle integrity
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, and priming, with some involvement in final paintwork
  • Reassemble repaired vehicles, perform quality inspections and ensure safety standards are met
  • Liaise with customers regarding repair progress and manage expectations
  • Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater in a bodyshop environment
  • Knowledge of various repairing techniques including welding, panel straightening, and surface finishing
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team and maintain high standards
  • Own tools are preferable but not essential as the workshop has proper equipment
