CNC Machinist Required in Liss, Hampshire for Classic Car Business 
  • Pay: £ Competitive DOE 
  • Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday only - Full Time Perm
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CNC Machinist to join a prestigious vintage car business located in Liss, Hampshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work within a passionate team, producing high-quality automotive components. The successful individual will play a vital role in delivering craftsmanship that meets the highest standards of precision and excellence.

Duties:
  • Operate a Haas CNC ST-30Y turning centre and Bridgeport VMC 800 Mill (using Heidenhain controls)
  • Set, programme, and calibrate CNC machines to produce intricate automotive parts
  • Create and validate new CNC programs using SolidWorks and CAMWorks
  • Support engineering by developing new fixtures, programs, and solutions
  • Conduct first-off inspections and ensure quality control standards are maintained
  • Maintain raw materials and manage tooling and fixtures efficiently
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and programming issues to minimise downtime
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimise production processes
  • Assist with cost estimation and process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter, or Operator with a strong background in precision machining
  • Proficiency in Haas, Heidenhain, SolidWorks, and CAMWorks
  • Experience machining castings and forgings is highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and adapt to evolving project needs
  • Excellent organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role within the automotive or precision engineering sector
