Our client, an established main dealer group, is looking to appoint an experienced Service Manager to join their team in Milton Keynes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced automotive professional looking to join a successful business that places a strong focus on customer service, team development and high performance.
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Service Department, ensuring the team delivers excellent customer service while achieving key performance and financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the Service Department to achieve agreed targets.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Service and Workshop functions.
- Ensure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor departmental performance, productivity and profitability.
- Manage, coach and develop members of the Service team.
- Ensure company processes and standards are followed.
- Deal effectively with customer concerns and complaints.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth customer journey.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Service Manager or Aftersales Manager within the motor trade.
- Strong knowledge of automotive Service Department operations.
- Proven experience managing and developing a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Commercially aware with a strong understanding of departmental KPIs.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Well organised with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous relevant motor trade experience is essential.
