Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a new and rewarding opportunity? Our client is currently recruiting for a dedicated HGV Technician to join their thriving team at their Wigan site. This role offers flexibility with day and night shifts available to fit your lifestyle, working between 38.5 and 40 hours per week. Duties:
  • Conduct servicing and repairs on HGV vehicles to high-quality industry standards
  • Accurately diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical faults
  • Work efficiently both independently and as part of a professional team
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and service history
  • Assist with routine vehicle maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Participate in ongoing training to develop technical skills and knowledge
  • Support workshop operations to achieve productivity targets
Requirements:
  • Experience as a qualified HGV Technician is essential
  • Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent
  • Irtec licence is highly desirable
  • HGV licence would be advantageous but not mandatory
  • Ability to accurately diagnose faults and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Strong team player with a proactive approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
