Our client, a multi-franchise approved car dealership situated in the West Bristol region, is currently looking to recruit a Service Advisor to join their busy Service Department. 
  • Salary: From £30,933 per annum, pending experience, with £5,000+ additional annual bonus potential
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am-6:00pm with Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm on a rota, paid as overtime.
  • Benefits: 25 days of annual leave + bank holidays, full manufacturer training, healthcare provisions, and staff purchase discounts, amongst others. 
Reporting to the Service Manager and working alongside a service reception and a workshop team, as a Service Advisor, you will need to be a confident relationship builder, be able to influence and advise customers on minor technical issues with their vehicle, whilst delivering a first-class service and achieving the company objectives and targets. You will greet customers in the Service Department and book their vehicles in for associated repair work, have extensive liaison with the workshop to chase work in progress, up-sell on additional products and services where possible, and keep customers informed of the progress of their vehicle whilst taking payments for work completed. 

The successful individual would ideally be able to deliver the very highest level of customer service through strong communication skills, resulting in total customer satisfaction. Strong organisational skills, along with IT literacy (any experience with Pinewood Pinnacle is preferable), would be of high priority. Due to the nature of this role, recent or current experience as a Service Advisor or a similar role within the automotive industry would be highly advantageous; however, it is non-essential provided you come from a strong customer service-oriented background and have a basic mechanical understanding of vehicles. Liaising with the vehicle manufacturer to authorise warranty repairs and having a general knowledge of warranty procedures would be advantageous, but is not essential.
