- Basic Salary: £44,958 + Bonus
- OTE: £50,958, based on time saved, team profit and CSI bonus
- Working Hours: 45 hours per week, including weekends on a rota basis

Our client is a prestigious main dealership based within the Bedford area. They are currently looking for an experienced and qualified Diagnostic Technician to join their high-performing aftersales team.
The dealership offers modern facilities and advanced diagnostic equipment, alongside structured manufacturer training designed to keep you up to date with the latest technologies, including electric and hybrid vehicle requirements.
Responsibilities for a Diagnostic Technician:
- Carrying out complex diagnostic, warranty, servicing, maintenance and repair work to a high standard
- Using advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex and hard-to-find faults
- Completing EV work, if qualified, and hydraulic repairs safely and efficiently
- Following manufacturer standards, technical information, repair procedures and health & safety requirements
- Working closely with the wider workshop team to achieve departmental targets and maintain high standards of workmanship
- Keeping up to date with the latest manufacturer training, technologies and technical developments
- Contributing to a first-class service for every customer
Requirements for this Diagnostic Technician role:
- Minimum Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Diagnostic Mechanic is desirable
- Brand-qualified Technicians will also be considered
- Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills
- Experience using modern diagnostic equipment and software
- Ability to follow manufacturer processes and maintain high standards of safety and quality
- A strong team player who can work collaboratively within a highly skilled workshop environment
- A genuine desire to develop your technical skills and progress your career
- EV experience or qualifications are desirable, although ongoing manufacturer training will be provided
Experience across different automotive brands will be considered, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced Diagnostic Technicians or brand-qualified Technicians looking to develop their career within a prestigious main dealership.
