We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Controller to join our client’s busy service operation in Barnstaple. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced motor trade professional to step into a management role that focuses on leadership and coordination.

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience
  • OTE of up to £40,000 with performance incentives
  • Monday to Friday working hours, approximately 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Opportunity to manage a team across a sizeable workshop 
  • Work within a main dealer reputable site, with additional manufacturer coverage
Duties:
  • Manage daily workshop operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high service standards
  • Coordinate the work of technicians and service advisors to maximise productivity
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and promote a positive team environment
  • Assist with team training and development to improve overall workshop performance
  • Oversee job allocation, parts ordering, and ensure health and safety compliance
  • Support the MOT testing process, alongside managing other workshop activities
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a motor trade workshop
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to organise and motivate a team effectively
  • A professional approach with excellent customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday with standard hours
