We’re recruiting for a Service Advisor to join a busy and established automotive operation in Daventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous Service Advisor experience, or someone who has worked in a similar customer-facing role within the motor trade and is looking to take the next step.
Working as part of an experienced team, you’ll be responsible for providing excellent customer service while managing the day-to-day service and repair process from booking through to vehicle collection.
Responsibilities:
- Booking vehicles into the workshop for servicing, repairs and MOTs
- Welcoming customers and providing a professional, friendly service
- Discussing customer requirements and accurately recording vehicle concerns
- Preparing and raising job cards
- Liaising with the workshop team to manage workload and job progress
- Keeping customers updated throughout the repair process
- Discussing additional work and providing clear explanations of recommended repairs
- Preparing invoices and arranging vehicle collections
- Maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Handling general enquiries and ensuring customers receive a smooth experience from start to finish
Requirements:
- Previous Service Advisor experience
- Alternatively, experience in a similar customer service role within the motor trade
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional and friendly approach
- The ability to remain organised and manage multiple jobs at once
- Good attention to detail and administration skills
- The confidence to discuss vehicle repairs and recommendations with customers
- A genuine interest in the automotive industry
You don't necessarily need to have worked as a Service Advisor previously if you have relevant motor trade customer service experience and the right attitude.
