We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled MET Technician to join a reputable accident repair centre in Yeovil. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MET Technician to work within a modern and well-equipped bodyshop environment, focusing on delivering high-quality repairs in a fast-paced automotive setting.

Duties

Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles according to job card instructions
Checking parts during the strip process and reporting any additional damage or parts needed
Carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs following manufacturer repair methods
Diagnosing faults accurately and identifying hidden damage
Performing wheel alignment, suspension, and steering adjustments
Completing quality check sheets at each stage of the repair process
Recording all work carried out on job cards and updating systems precisely
Assisting with air-conditioning re-gas and ADAS calibration when trained
Supporting bodyshop colleagues to ensure a smooth workflow throughout the process

Requirements

Proven experience as an MET Technician or Vehicle Technician in a bodyshop or accident repair environment
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or relevant experience in vehicle maintenance or repair
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
Ability to interpret repair methods, technical data, and job cards accurately
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
Good communication and teamwork skills
Full, clean UK driving licence
Own tools set
Desirable: ATA / IMI MET accreditation or working towards it, air conditioning certification, EV / HEV component removal qualifications, four-wheel alignment certification
