We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled MET Technician to join a reputable accident repair centre in Yeovil. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MET Technician to work within a modern and well-equipped bodyshop environment, focusing on delivering high-quality repairs in a fast-paced automotive setting.

Duties:
  • Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles according to job card instructions
  • Checking parts during the strip process and reporting any additional damage or parts needed
  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs following manufacturer repair methods
  • Diagnosing faults accurately and identifying hidden damage
  • Performing wheel alignment, suspension, and steering adjustments
  • Completing quality check sheets at each stage of the repair process
  • Recording all work carried out on job cards and updating systems precisely
  • Assisting with air-conditioning re-gas and ADAS calibration when trained
  • Supporting bodyshop colleagues to ensure a smooth workflow throughout the process
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an MET Technician or Vehicle Technician in a bodyshop or accident repair environment
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or relevant experience in vehicle maintenance or repair
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Ability to interpret repair methods, technical data, and job cards accurately
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Own tools set
  • Desirable: ATA / IMI MET accreditation or working towards it, air conditioning certification, EV / HEV component removal qualifications, four-wheel alignment certification
