Panel Beater/Paint Sprayer - North Bristol
  • Salary: Up to £47,800 per annum (£21-23 per hour), pending experience and qualifications. 
  • Hours: 40-hour working week Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings subject to business demand.

Due to a new site opening, our client, a large automotive accident repair group established throughout England, is currently looking to recruit a multi skilled Panel Beater/Paint Sprayer to join their busy centre in Bristol.

Reporting to the Centre Manager and working as part of a large team, as a Panel Beater/Paint Sprayer, your responsibilities will include: 
  • Undertake replacement and repair of damaged or compromised bodywork panels.
  • Painting, prepping and polishing 
  • Complete chassis and framework repairs.
  • Welding and panel bonding of panels.
  • Conduct bumper and door repair work as required.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs to an exceptionally high standard.
  • Proven experience in replacing mechanical parts in vehicles.
  • Confident in stripping and refitting all components of a vehicle.
To be eligible, you will ideally have a recognised qualification in automotive Panel Beating or Paint Spraying, and be working towards an IMI qualification. Our client, however, is willing to consider Panel Beaters / Paint Sprayers with no formal qualifications who have a prior track record in panel beating and Paint Spraying. Overall, you will be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, carry out duties as detailed on job cards to manufacturer and company standards, use initiative and prioritise workload to meet delivery times and customers’ expectations, and be able to work independently but liaise effectively with colleagues and support others by multi-tasking during busy periods. A UK driving licence with minimal points is essential at this stage.
