We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join our client’s busy service department in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated technician who prides themselves on delivering exceptional diagnostic and repair expertise.

Duties:
  • Utilising your extensive experience to diagnose and resolve complex vehicle faults across mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
  • Using advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer tools to ensure highly accurate repairs
  • Staying current with industry advancements and participating in ongoing training to develop your knowledge
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to customers by providing clear explanations and accurate repair estimates
  • Leading by example within the workshop, mentoring junior technicians, and supporting team goals
  • Ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer standards and adhere to safety and environmental regulations
Requirements:
  • A valid Vehicle Diagnostic  Technician certification from a recognised industry body or manufacturer is preferred but not essential
  • Proven experience in automotive diagnostics and repair
  • In-depth knowledge of modern vehicle systems, including hybrid, electric, and safety features
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Demonstration of leadership qualities and willingness to support colleagues
  • Valid UK driver’s licence and at least one year of relevant work experience in vehicle diagnostics and repair
