Vehicle Panel Beater - Cheltenham
  • Salary: Around £22 per hour (negotiable pending experience), plus a monthly time-save bonus scheme.

Our client, a large automotive accident repair centre based in the Cheltenham region, is currently looking to recruit an experienced and professional Panel Beater to join their busy bodyshop

Reporting to the General Manager and working as part of a team, as a Panel Beater, your key objectives will include:
  • Assess vehicle damage and identify appropriate repair methods.
  • Repair and replace damaged body panels, doors and bumpers.
  • Complete chassis and structural repairs as required.
  • Carry out metal finishing, filler work, welding, bonding and riveting.
  • Check completed repairs and report any additional damage or work required.
  • Support the efficient progression of vehicles through the workshop.
  • Maintain a safe, organised working area and follow company health and safety procedures.
  • Carry out road tests where required and authorised.
  • Use workshop tablets to view job information and record repair progress. Training and support will be provided.
To be eligible for this role, you will ideally be a fully qualified Panel Beater to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Alternatively, our client is willing to consider individuals with strong time-served experience working as a Panel Beater. You will need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and be a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality workmanship in a busy working environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Individuals with an ATA accreditation would be highly advantageous, but it is not essential.
