Vehicle Panel/MET Technician - Royal Wootton Bassett.
  • Salary: Negotiable starting salary plus bonus, providing £52,000 uncapped annual earnings (with some of our clients' staff earning more than this!)
  • Hours: 42.5-hour week. 7:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break.

Our client, a long-standing automotive vehicle accident repair centre located in Royal Wootton Bassett, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Panel/MET Technician to join their business.  

Reporting to the Bodyshop Manager and working as part of a friendly, stable team, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Carry out high-quality body repairs on a range of vehicles.
  • Remove and refit panels, doors, and trims, etc.
  • Repair or replace damaged panels to manufacturer standards.
  • Ensure all repair work is completed on time and to the required quality.
  • Work efficiently as part of a team to meet workshop deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
To be eligible, you will need to have current or recent experience working as a Vehicle Panel Technician or as an MET/Strip Fit Technician. Formal qualifications as a Vehicle Panel Technician or an MET/Strip Fit Technician to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent would be desirable; however, our client is willing to consider Panel Beater / MET Technicians with strong "on-the-job" experience who can work to meticulous standards. Overall, you will have a good eye for detail, be a team player with good communication skills, have an aptitude for multitasking, and have a UK driving licence with minimal points. Panel Beater / MET Technicians with an ATA accreditation or experience working to BSI 10125 Kitemark Standards would be highly beneficial, but it is non-essential.
