As a Motorcycle Parts Advisor you will be responsible for dealing with trade and retail customers regarding all parts and accessories enquiries. Your main duties will include managing stock and inventory, selling and upselling parts to customers, and maintaining the smooth running of the department.

A Motorcycle Parts Advisor is usually based in a Main Dealership. Depending on the size and structure of the Dealership, it may have its own retail unit attached to the Dealership. It is important that a Motorcycle Parts Advisor reflects the brand values at all times and able to maximise on sales opportunities by delivering knowledgeable and accurate advice.

A significant element of this role is customer facing, whether answering incoming calls, responding to emails or speaking to customers face to face. For this reason, you will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver the highest standard of service at all times. Another aspect of the role involves working with the Technicians in the workshop, ensuring they have the right parts so being a team player is also an essential quality aligned with this job.

The role of Motorcyle Parts Advisor is target driven and has lots of potential for growth and promotion for the right person. The natural next steps would be the role of Motorcycle Sales Executive or to Motorcycle Technician.

Typical working hours in this role can be up to 45 hours per week and this usually involves working weekends. Salaries range between £21K-25K but most Dealerships will offer their Motorcyle Parts Advisor the opportunity to earn a performance based bonus.
