  • Basic Salary up to £37,440 / £18 p.h.
  • OTE £42,500 + - Overtime paid at x 1.5 hourly rate

Our client a one of the world’s largest suppliers of Construction & Industrial Machinery are seeking a Field Based Industrial Service Engineer for their mobile team covering Kent, Sussex, and Southeast London area.

Our clients have been within the industry for nearly 30 years with a large customer base from small individual businesses to major international organisations. They provide a variety of equipment for construction, agricultural and other applications.

We’ve worked with this Client for several years, they provide a great place to work with regular training and development, alongside investment within facilities.

Duties of Field Based Service Engineer with our Client: 
  • Provide support to customer at their premises and off-site to ensure machinery is kept in prime operation condition.
  • Diagnose, Investigate & resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment.
  • Ensure job cars are completed accurately and within the given time-allocation.
  • Ensure Parts requests are effectively communicated.
  • Ensure that a professional manner is kept at all times to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Develop working relationships with both colleagues and customers.
  • Ensure work is completed to all technical and safety standards.
What our Client expects of their Field Based Service Engineer: 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plant/Land base Mechanical engineering or time served experience.
  • Ideally experienced within plant Machinery
  • Strong diagnostic and investigative skills
  • Heavy lifting and able to safely climb on and underneath machinery if required.
  • Excellent verbal, written and critical thinking skills.
  • IT Proficient
  • Interpersonal relationships/ Customer awareness/ Commercial awareness
  • Efficient and flexible with the ability to work without supervision.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications could include PASMA, CSCS card and Powered Access plus the ability to service the range of machinery would also be useful.
