Our client is one of the UK’s largest and leading Motor retail groups and looking for an MOT Tester to join their thriving workshop team.

To be eligible for this MOT Tester role you must have the following: 
  • A valid MOT Tester License
  • Basic understanding of servicing and mechanical repairs
  • Previous experience carrying out MOT tests
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines and procedures
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in team
  • A team player attitude and willingness to support colleagues
  • A full UK driving license.
As an MOT Tester, you will carry out the following duties on a day-to-day basis:
  • Conducting MOT tests on various vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards
  • Identifying and reporting any faults or defects found during the test to the customer or relevant supervisor
  • Carrying out necessary repairs or maintenance work to ensure the vehicle passes the MOT test
  • Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out
  • Communicating effectively with customers, providing advice and guidance on MOT requirements and vehicle maintenance
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest MOT testing regulations and guidelines
  • Working independently as well as part of a team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
