PDI / Prep Vehicle Technician Required in the Cannock area
  • Up to £30,000 Basic Salary plus OTE up to £34,000
  • Monday - Thursday 8am-5:30 pm + Friday 8am - 4:30pm + Saturday rota 1 in 4 (Paid as overtime)

My client is a multi-franchise main dealer with a well-established reputation for providing top-quality work  They are highly regarded in the local community. Seeking a PDI Vehicle Technician, they are looking for someone who is looking to progress and get the ground running in the workshop.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must be a qualified Vehicle Technician with at least NVQ Level 2 or equivalent. You should possess a UK driving license with minimal points, be a committed individual, and a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy franchise-approved dealership environment and should be motivated to achieve the targets set for your team.

As a PDI / Prep Vehicle Technician, your day-to-day duties will include but aren't limited to:
  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and approved used vehicles following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed.
  • Utilising your technical knowledge to inspect the engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
  • Repairing and replacing broken or defective parts to resolve vehicle defects.
  • Road testing vehicles to check for faults and repairs.
  • Supporting other Vehicle Technicians in the workshop.
  • Completing all associated documentation on the vehicle in line with HSO, manufacturer warranty and our client's own standards.
  • Provide regular work status updates. 
  • Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
