German Branded Automotive Service Advisor Required in Crawley, West Sussex
  • Pay: Up to £40,000 Basic- no bonus! Quality and Reputation is everything for our client! No needless upsells encouraged! 
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8AM till 5.30PM - no weekends
We are currently working with a well respected German Vehicle Specialist Garage who have over 100 years combined knowledge of their chosen marque and the go to specialists in the Crawley area. This client has an excellent reputation with customers, the manufacturer they represent and employees alike. Our clients ethos is go the extra mile for their customers which has grown the car workshop business by word of mouth organically without any advertising required. Our client works on German Branded Classic Cars, Performance Cars as well as modern cars that are still under warranty so a nice mixture of mechanical jobs. 

They are seeking an Experienced Automotive Service Advisor who has at least two years experience working in a Franchised Car Dealership, Independent Service Centre or similar environment; preferably from a German marque background but not essential to support and add value to Service Team. Our client has stated the successful Service Advisor will work collectively as a team and support the day to work of the Service Manager and the Parts Manager. There will also be on the job brand training provided if needed - enthusiasm to be the best is required a minimum! 

Within this Service Advisor role your typical duties will include: 
  • To handle customer enquiries and queries promptly and efficiently.
  • Qualify service needs and diagnose vehicle running problems where appropriate. Establish understanding and an agreement with the customer of the work to be carried out.
  • Accurately maintain the service department loading system in line with workshop capacity.
  • Manage the handover and administration of loan vehicles.  Explain the work carried out on vehicle ensuring customers full understanding and authorisation. 
  • Understand and adhere to manufacturer service requirements.
  • Maintain relevant systems ensuring accuracy at all times.
  • Maintain safe working practices and abide by the working rules and standards of the business.
