Finance Controller Needed in Greater Manchester
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday
  • Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 basic + bonus + company car + benefits
Our client, a reputable and growing 3-site automotive dealer group, is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Controller to lead their Finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional to join a dynamic senior management team and play a key role in driving the financial strategy of the group.

Key Responsibilities for the Finance Controller:
  • Lead and manage the Finance and Sales Administration teams across three dealership locations
  • Produce monthly management accounts and financial forecasts
  • Implement and manage financial policies including capital, debt, tax, pensions, and insurance
  • Ensure compliance with audit standards and statutory regulatory requirements
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk
  • Contribute to strategic planning and support business growth initiatives
  • Deliver financial reporting to senior stakeholders
What We’re Looking For in a Finance Controller:
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within an Owner-Managed SME
  • Strong background in the Retail Motor Trade is highly advantageous
  • Fully or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACMA, ACWA preferred)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Commercially astute with a hands-on approach and operational empathy
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Advanced IT and Excel modelling skills, including DMS experience
  • High attention to detail and experience in fast-paced finance teams
  • Ideally 8+ years in accounting
