Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester Needed in Chorley
  • Working Hours: 40-hour week + regular Saturday morning overtime
  • (alternative evening shift available: 30 hours, 5pm–11pm)
  • Salary: £28,000 – £44,000 OTE per year + excellent benefits
Our client, a well-established and expanding franchised dealership, is seeking experienced Vehicle Technicians and MOT Testers to join their motivated Aftersales team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a company that invests in training, technology, and tools while offering strong long-term career progression and development.

They are looking for both all-rounder Technicians and those with a valid MOT licence, with flexible shifts available to suit.

Key Responsibilities for Technician & MOT Tester:
  • Road test vehicles and diagnose problems as required
  • Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards
  • Complete MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations (if qualified)
  • Ensure all paperwork is accurate and up to date
  • Maintain high productivity and complete jobs within agreed timescales
  • Work collaboratively with the service reception and parts teams to ensure an excellent customer experience
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified to a Level 3 standard in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Valid MOT licence (desirable, but not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A strong team player with excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
