About the Mobile Vehicle Technician Role:

 Are you an experienced Mobile Vehicle Technician who enjoys the freedom of the open road and thrives in a customer-facing, independent environment? Our client, a respected Franchised Main Car Dealership, is looking for a Mobile Mechanic to join their expanding mobile service team, providing exceptional support to private and business customers across Crawley and the surrounding West Sussex area.

You’ll be working with a dealer group that’s committed to customer service excellence, innovation, and employee flexibility—including the ability to tailor your working hours to suit your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities for the Mobile Vehicle Technician:
  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and diagnostics at customer homes, workplaces, or roadside as required.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs to a high standard, with minimal supervision.
  • Diagnose vehicle faults efficiently, using modern diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Attend breakdown and emergency call-outs, delivering high-quality service with clear communication.
  • Ensure all customer documentation, job cards, and service logs are completed accurately.
  • Work safely and responsibly, adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide a professional, courteous, and informative service to all clients and customers.
Requirements of the Mobile Vehicle Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Main dealer or independent workshop experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working independently in a mobile capacity.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A valid, full UK driving licence.
  • Living within commutable distance of Croydon and willing to travel across the region.
EV qualification is desirable but not essential—training can be provided.
