Duties of the Estimator / Bodyshop VDA:
  • Accurately carry out detailed vehicle damage assessments tailored to customer and management expectations
  • Communicate effectively with customers, insurers, and third parties regarding repairs and claim processing.
  • Identify and advise on additional repairs beyond initial estimates, including costs and revised timelines
  • Follow up on all estimates to ensure customer satisfaction and timely repair progression
  • Liaise with insurance companies to access claim information and facilitate smooth claims handling
  • Finalise work quality through thorough inspections and quality checks
  • Support the Workshop Controller in achieving repair completion targets
  • Maintain clear and constant communication with approved repairers and colleagues
  • Ensure vehicle handovers meet quality and customer service standards
Requirements for the Estimator / Bodyshop VDA:
  • Previous experience in Vehicle Damage Estimating (ATA qualification desirable)
  • Strong understanding of the automotive industry and motor trade processes
  • Proven ability to influence, motivate, and manage teams effectively
  • Methodical, organised, and capable of prioritising workloads to meet deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence
  • An enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service and quality repairs
