Are you a highly experienced automotive professional ready to step into a Service Manager role? Our client, a well-established independent garage group in Farnham, Surrey, is seeking a dedicated Service Manager to lead their busy branch. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background eager to move into a managerial position.

Duties of a Service Manager:
  • Lead and develop the workshop team to ensure operational excellence
  • Maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Manage and control profit and loss for the branch
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by understanding and meeting customer needs
  • Oversee vehicle repairs, diagnostics, and quality standards
  • Monitor and improve workshop efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure all safety, compliance, and operational procedures are followed
  • Communicate effectively with the wider team and head office
  • Drive a positive and motivating working environment
Candidate specification:
  • Proven experience within the automotive industry, ideally in a technician or technical background
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Customer-focused with a commercial acumen
  • Ability to analyse vehicle diagnostics and develop solutions
  • A team player who can motivate and manage staff effectively
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and committed
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to commute up to 45 minutes
