About the role

As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for customers, managing vehicle service bookings, providing technical explanations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the workshop team to facilitate smooth operations and help maintain their high standards of customer service. The position offers a great balance of technical engagement and customer interaction in a dynamic environment. There is scope for the successful Service Advisor to progress to a Service Manager position as your skills develop.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serving as the primary contact for customers bringing vehicles in for servicing and repairs
  • Managing workshop appointments and organising jobs efficiently
  • Handling invoicing, quoting, warranty claims, and parts ordering
  • Using a Garage Management System and OneLink systems for job sheets and workshop administration
  • Communicating effectively with technicians to ensure timeliness and quality of work
  • Providing customers with clear explanations of the work needed, in both technical and layman terms
  • Assisting in workshop organisation and stepping into supervisory or managerial responsibilities when appropriate
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience as a Service Advisor or similar role within the motor trade
  • Good technical understanding of vehicles, with the ability to explain repairs clearly
  • Familiarity with OneLink software is advantageous or Garage Assistant 4
  • Full UK driving licence is essential for occasional vehicle movements
  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a proactive work ethic
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, customer-focused environment
  • Reliable team player with a professional manner and a desire to progress into management
