  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week (Monday – Saturday)
  • Salary: £34,000 + Bonus + Benefits (£38,000 OTE)
Our client, a fast-growing national automotive company, is looking for a qualified MOT Tester to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, professional workshop environment with superb training and development opportunities.

As an MOT Tester / Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles meet DVSA testing requirements, carrying out repairs and maintenance, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities as a Service Advisor:
  • Conduct MOT testing in line with DVSA regulations
  • Perform mechanical repairs, including brakes, clutches, cambelts, exhausts, and tyre fitting
  • Use alignment machines and interpret readings for necessary adjustments
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
  • Complete vehicle inspection sheets and adhere to company procedures
  • Identify and communicate additional faults to customers and management
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and comply with health & safety regulations
Requirements needed for this Service Advisor role:
  • Level 3 Mechanics qualification OR a valid MOT Licence
  • Experience in a professional workshop environment
  • Knowledge of tyre fitting, brakes, cambelts, clutches, and exhaust systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
  • Self-motivated with a focus on quality and attention to detail
