Key duties of the Master Technician role include:
  • Undertaking comprehensive vehicle examinations, repairs, and maintenance adhering to manufacturer guidelines across a variety of makes and models
  • Collaborating effectively with the service team to ensure smooth workflow and transparent communication regarding vehicle progress
  • Discussing technical issues and repair options directly with customers when needed
  • Providing a courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient customer experience that reflects the dealership’s standards
  • Maintaining and enhancing technical skills through continuous learning and professional development
  • Adopting innovative work methods to improve workshop efficiency and productivity
  • Ensuring health and safety protocols are strictly followed, addressing safety issues proactively

Requirements for the Master Technician role:
  • Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification
  • Proven experience as a Master Technician across multiple makes and models, or a diagnostic technician on their pathway to accreditation
  • Strong diagnostic skills and a good understanding of modern vehicle systems
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to colleagues and customers
  • A commitment to quality and a high attention to detail
  • Ambition to complete or already hold Master Technician accreditation
  • Customer-focused, with a dedication to safety and satisfaction
  • Team player with a proactive approach to helping others and continuous improvement
