  • Position: Service Manager 
  • Location: Leighton Buzzard 
  • Salary: £35,000 – £45,000
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm (1 in 2 Saturdays)
We are recruiting for an experienced Service Manager to join a busy, well-established independent garage in Leighton Buzzard, they have a strong local reputation and loyal customer base.

This is a key leadership role within a growing business that combines vehicle sales with a fully equipped in-house service and MOT operation. The workshop handles a steady flow of retail, internal prep, and customer vehicles across all makes and models.

You’ll be given the autonomy to take ownership of the department, improve processes, and build a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities as a Service Manager will include:
  • Full management of workshop operations and daily workflow
  • Leading and motivating technicians and front-of-house staff
  • Managing productivity, efficiency, and quality control
  • Overseeing job allocation, bookings, and turnaround times
  • Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
Requirements that the Service Manager will need:
  • Proven experience as a Service Manager or Workshop Controller
  • Strong background managing a busy workshop environment
  • Confident dealing with technicians, customers, and workload pressure
  • Hands-on and commercially aware approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced independent garage setting
