MOT Tester Required in Guildford for Independent Car Garage Group
  • Pay: Up to £34k Basic + Overtime 
  • Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5:30pm), Saturday (8:30am - 4:00pm) on a rota basis.
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Tester to join a reputable Independent Car Garage located in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated automotive professional to work within a well-established group, offering a competitive salary and clear career progression routes. As our client’s MOT Tester, you will play a vital responsibility in maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and roadworthiness.

  • Outstanding earning potential with an OTE of approximately £38,000 including overtime

Duties
  • Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations and standards
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and identify any faults
  • Provide accurate reports and recommendations for repairs if necessary
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all inspections and tests
  • Liaise with clients regarding vehicle conditions and necessary repairs as required
Requirements of this MOT Tester position:
  • NVQ Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
  • Valid MOT licence is essential
  • Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar automotive role
  • Strong knowledge of current MOT testing procedures and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude
