  • Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturdays

We are recruiting a Service Advisor to join our client’s busy workshop team in Exeter, Devon. If you enjoy speaking with customers, keeping service schedules running smoothly, and delivering a consistently professional experience, this role offers the structure and support you need to thrive.

  • Salary up to £33,500
  • Monday to Friday hours with Saturdays on a rota (8am to 1pm, 1 in 3)
  • Rolling shift pattern of 7am to 4pm and 9am to 6pm on weekly rotation

Duties of a Service Advisor:

  • Greet customers in a professional manner and build rapport to create a positive service experience
  • Schedule service and maintenance work, ensuring accurate booking information and realistic timeframes
  • Handle customer queries throughout the process, updating job statuses and managing expectations
  • Maintain accurate records for each vehicle, including customer details, job progress, and service history
  • Liaise with technicians and relevant departments to support a smooth, efficient workflow
  • Identify opportunities to upsell where appropriate, while aligning with customer needs and dealership procedures
Candidate requirements

  • Proven experience as a Service Advisor, or within a closely related motor trade customer service role
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to manage conversations professionally
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, particularly when scheduling work and maintaining records
  • Ability to work to targets while keeping service levels consistent and accurate
  • A proactive approach and the drive to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to cover Saturday shifts on a one in three basis
