  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Circa 80% Field-Based | 20% Branch-Based
Our client is looking for a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager / Branch Sales Manager to join their Halesowen branch.

This is primarily a field-based sales role, with around 80% of your time spent visiting customers, developing new business, and growing existing accounts across the region. The remaining 20% will be spent at the branch, supporting the team, managing sales activity, and ensuring smooth branch operations.

As the Business Development Manager / Branch Sales Manager, you will:
  • Spend approximately 70/80% of your time on the road, visiting existing and prospective customers to generate new business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage long-term relationships with key accounts to maximise sales and customer retention.
  • Identify and win new business across your designated territory.
  • Promote and sell trailers, parts, equipment and associated services.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate deals and successfully convert opportunities into sales.
  • Work closely with the branch team to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Spend around 20/30% of your time supporting branch operations, ensuring sales targets, stock control and customer service standards are achieved.
  • Lead and motivate the branch team when required.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and customer visit reports.
  • Help increase market share through proactive business development and networking.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety requirements.
As a Business Development Manager / Branch Sales Manager, you'll have:
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manager, Branch Sales Manager or Field Sales Executive.
  • A strong track record of winning new business and developing existing customer accounts.
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Experience within the automotive, trailer, commercial vehicle, engineering or industrial sectors would be advantageous.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
  • Previous leadership or branch management experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • A full UK driving licence.
