Join our client’s well established independent garage team as a Service Advisor and become a vital part of their dedicated workshop in Eastbourne, East Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work within a supportive and proactive environment, offering both career development and a rewarding package.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary of £30,000 to £35,000 per annum, with an OTE of £35,000
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, 40 hours per week with some flexibility for childcare arrangements etc.

Duties:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing excellent service and a proactive approach
  • Upsell additional services and motoring solutions during customer interactions
  • Deliver honest and empathetic communication, especially when conveying bad news
  • Liaise with the workshop team, including technicians and service staff, to ensure timely updates on vehicle status
  • Manage customer bookings and scheduling, keeping organiser systems up to date
  • Embrace transparency & learn new systems
  • Maintain organisation and attention to detail in busy workshop environment
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Service Advisor or similar role within the motor trade
  • Good knowledge of the automotive industry and common vehicle servicing needs
  • Ability to upsell and proactively suggest additional services
  • Strong communication skills, empathetic with customers, confident in delivering bad news
  • Well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Compassionate and friendly approach, with a proactive attitude towards customer care
  • Experience with relevant workshop management systems (e.g., TechMan is preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
