Vehicle Technician Opportunity for a Vehicle Dealership in Hastings
  • Up to £40,000 Basic + £52,000 OTE Dependent on experience
  • 08:00/08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday ONLY

Our client, an Automotive Main Vehicle Dealership in the Hastings, East Sussex area are looking to hire an experienced Vehicle Technician. They have over 60 years of automotive trading experience. They pride themselves in offering excellent customer service, through their vast range of both new and used vehicles. This is a great opportunity to join a busy team with a great earning potential in a reputable main dealer. You will be required to repair and service vehicles and maintain a high standard of work at all times to conform to company standards.

Duties of a Technician with our Client:
  • Using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified. Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required.
  • Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
  • Carry out diagnosis, repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
  • Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
  • Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
  • Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor.
  • Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets, PDI’s, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty and site requirements.
  • Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are always maintained including the use of special and personal tools
What our Client expects of their Technicians:
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • A “can-do” attitude and the ability to overcome problems
  • NVQ Level 3 minimum
  • Main dealer experience is preferred but not essential
  • MOT Testing Licence preferred but not essential
  • Organisational and time management skills
