Senior Vehicle Technician Required in Croydon for Family Run Fleet Company 
Pay: £45,000 Basic + £12,000 in annual bonuses
Hours: 9am - 6pm Monday - Friday - optional overtime on weekends - start and finish times can be flexible (7am - 4pm, 8am - 5pm, 9-6pm) 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Vehicle Technician to join a well-established fleet maintenance operation in Croydon. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician to take on a supervisory position within a busy workshop environment, engaging in both retail and fleet work. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic skills, workshop management experience, and a solutions-oriented mindset to drive team performance and deliver high-quality service.

Duties

  • Conduct diagnostics and repair work on a variety of vehicles, specialising in light commercial vehicles (LCV)
  • Assist colleagues with mechanical jobs when they get stuck or need advice 
  • Day to day vehicle mechanics - clutches, cambelts, suspension, mechanical repairs and diagnositcs 
  • Liaise with clients and internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain workshop safety standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Support the team with technical guidance and troubleshooting using advanced diagnostic tools, including Snap-on and Autel equipment
  • Manage workshop operations, handling workflow and productivity

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a motor vehicle technician with a solid technical background
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills, particularly with light commercial vehicles
  • Excellent communication skills and a mature, solutions-focused approach
  • Familiarity with modern diagnostic equipment and workshop management
  • Relevant qualifications such as Senior Vehicle Technician or Master Vehicle Technician or equivalent
