Diagnostic / Master Technician Required in Birmingham
  • Basic Salary: Up to £44,696
  • OTE: Circa £55,000
  • Hours: Monday to Friday only – 40 hours per week.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Diagnostic / Master Technician to join a modern and forward-thinking automotive workshop in Birmingham.

About this Diagnostic / Master Technician: 
As a Diagnostic / Master Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out advanced diagnostics, repairs and servicing to manufacturer standards. You will work on a variety of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems, ensuring vehicles are repaired efficiently and correctly first time.

Your responsibilities as a Diagnostic / Master Technician will include:
  • Diagnosing and rectifying complex mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work to manufacturer standards.
  • Completing warranty and diagnostic repairs accurately.
  • Working on hybrid and electric vehicles where qualified.
  • Using advanced diagnostic equipment to identify intermittent and complex faults.
  • Supporting and mentoring other technicians within the workshop.
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and customer satisfaction.
The Successful Diagnostic / Master Technician Candidate will have:
  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Previous experience as a Diagnostic or Master Technician within a franchised or professional workshop environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic abilities.
  • Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills with a methodical approach.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A positive attitude with the ability to mentor and support junior technicians.
