Nightshift HGV Technician Opportunity in Widnes, Cheshire
  • Basic Salary £55,000 
  • Working Tuesday to Friday Nights: 8:30pm to 7am
  • Based in Widnes

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Nightshift HGV Technician to join our client’s busy aftermarket team in Widnes.

Duties:
  • Undertake maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of commercial vehicles and trailers.
  • Diagnose faults, carry out testing, and execute effective, permanent repairs.
  • Complete warranty, contract, and retail paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to help minimise customer costs.
  • Support other team members as required, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance standards are maintained.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 or higher qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Experience in diagnosing, servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles.
  • Knowledge of work methods and technical data through manufacturer training.
  • Full UK driving licence; an HGV licence is advantageous but not essential.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work night shifts from 8:30pm to 7:00am Tuesday to Friday.
