Vehicle Service Technician 
  • £30,000 Basic Salary + Excellent Bonus | Cannock
  • OTE: £38,000 + (uncapped bonus)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm (No Weekends)
  • Overtime: Paid at time and a half.
Perfect Placement are currently working with an established and busy main dealer in the Cannock area who are looking to add a  Vehicle Service Technician to their workshop team.

This is a great opportunity for a Service Technician who already has some main dealer experience and is looking for a role where they can develop their skills, earn well and become an important part of a successful aftersales team.

The dealership has a strong workload coming through the workshop, and they're looking to bring another technician into the team to help take some of the pressure off during busy periods and holiday/sickness cover.

The Package for the Service Technician:
  • Basic salary around £30,000

As a  Service Technician, you'll be working as part of a busy workshop team, carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs to a high standard.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Service Technician will include:
  • Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance
  • Completing Vehicle Health Checks (VHCs)
  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Diagnosing faults and using diagnostic equipment
  • Working to manufacturer and dealership standards
  • Completing inspection and repair documentation accurately
  • Road testing vehicles where required
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
  • Supporting the wider aftersales team to deliver excellent customer service
You'll be working on a varied range of vehicles, giving you the opportunity to continue developing your technical knowledge and experience within a professional main dealer environment.

What We're Looking For in their Service Technician:
  • We're ideally looking for a Level 2 qualified Service Technician who has at least 1 year's main dealer experience.
  • You'll need to be comfortable working in a busy workshop and have a good understanding of general vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
  • We're particularly interested in Technicians who:
  • Hold a Level 2 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent
  • Have at least 1 year of main dealer experience
  • Have strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Can work efficiently while maintaining high standards
  • Take pride in the quality of their workmanship
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Are reliable and work well as part of a team
  • Have a positive and proactive attitude
The current team is performing well, and the business wants to add another capable Technician to strengthen the department and make sure the workload remains manageable when the team is down a member.
