Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester Vacancy - Bedford Main Dealer
  • Basic Salary: Up to £40,000 (Depending on experience)
  • OTE: £44,000
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • No Weekends

A respected main dealer in Bedford is looking to strengthen its workshop team with an experienced Vehicle Technician.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and supportive workshop environment, with full manufacturer training, ongoing career development and access to the latest industry qualifications.

The workshop has 4 ramps, 4 bays and a dedicated MOT bay, with each technician having their own workspace. You’ll work alongside an experienced and friendly team, supported by an established Aftersales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on a range of vehicles.
  • Complete diagnostic and fault-finding work.
  • Carry out MOT tests if qualified.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Follow manufacturer procedures and health & safety guidelines.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve workshop targets.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Requirements::
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Own set of tools.
  • Strong technical ability and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience within a workshop environment.
An MOT licence would be beneficial but is not essential. The position is open to experienced Vehicle Technicians, with individuals who have strong diagnostic skills particularly encouraged to apply.
