- Location: Telford
- Basic Salary: Up to £45,000, depending on experience and qualifications
- OTE: £50,000+
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (MET) Technician with a minimum of 3 years' experience to join a professional accident repair environment where quality, safety and technical standards are genuinely important.
As an MET Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
- Dismantling damaged vehicles in line with repair estimates and manufacturer repair methods.
- Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components safely and efficiently.
- Reassembling vehicles to manufacturer and company standards.
- Identifying additional damage, missing parts or further repair requirements.
- Checking parts are correct and available to complete repairs efficiently.
- Reconnecting and checking mechanical and electrical systems following repair.
- Ensuring safety-critical components are fitted correctly and securely.
- Carrying out quality checks before vehicles progress to the next stage of repair.
- Working closely with estimators, workshop controllers and other technicians to keep repairs on schedule.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Following all health & safety procedures, repair methods and company processes.
You will need:
- A minimum of 3 years' MET Technician experience.
- Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical and trim components.
- The ability to work from repair estimates, technical instructions and manufacturer repair methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- A good understanding of workshop health & safety.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A professional approach and commitment to completing work correctly and efficiently.
- IMI Accreditation is preferred, alongside experience working within a modern accident repair centre and familiarity with vehicle safety systems and manufacturer repair methods.
