We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our client’s team in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to become a vital part of a growing organisation that values career development, offers stability, and promotes a positive working environment. As the HGV Technician, you will play an essential role in maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Conduct vehicle inspections, general servicing, and fault diagnosis
Carry out repairs on all aspects of commercial vehicles booking into the workshop
Prepare vehicles for MOT and present them for testing
Perform roadside breakdown and recovery assistance
Liaise with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly
Test drive vehicles as necessary to ensure repairs meet required standards

Requirements

Qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three or equivalent)
Relevant experience working with commercial vehicles
Full UK driving licence; HGV licence is desirable but not essential
Qualified Roadside Recovery Technician is advantageous
Positive attitude, motivated, and reliable approach to work
Previous experience in a similar role within the motor trade sector
