Vehicle Prepper / Paint Technician / Vehicle Polisher Required in Wimbledon for New Bodyshop Opening soon! 

Hours: 40 or 45 hours per week Monday - Friday - Saturdays on a rota 
Pay:  £18 - £20 Per Hour + depending on experience

Exciting opportunity for a Prepper / Vehicle Painter to join a brand-new body shop in Wimbledon. Our client is opening a state-of-the-art facility, and they are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to contribute to this innovative team. This role offers the chance to be part of an expanding business with great growth potential, working in a friendly and professional environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate of £18 to £20 depending on experience
  • Full-time, permanent employment on PAYE basis
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, with future wellbeing benefits planned
  • Option for Saturday overtime paid at standard hourly rate, approx. 8:00–13:00, one or two Saturdays a month (or more if desired) 
  • Opportunity to work on private and eventually insurance-based vehicle repairs
Duties

  • Assisting with vehicle preparation, including stripping and fitting parts when required
  • Painting and finishing vehicles to a high standard using modern equipment including a spray booth
  • Polishing work to achieve a professional finish
  • Assisting with surface preparation and minor components work
  • Supporting the team in establishing the new body shop, with potential to develop skills further as the business grows
Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Prepper, Painter, or Polisher in a vehicle body shop environment
  • Ability to carry out preparation, painting, polishing, and possibly stripping and fitting
  • Strong attention to detail and good work ethic
  • Knowledge of vehicle refinishing techniques and use of relevant tools and equipment
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to contribute to a developing team
